Board Members
The Miracle League of Central Mississippi is proud to acknowledge the support and efforts of the following board members.
Joseph Voynik, Founder – Joseph was born in Jackson, Mississippi and quickly developed a love for sports and helping others. At the age of five, he began to play organized baseball and has become a fan of not only the game, but its rich history. When Joseph realized there wasn’t a Miracle League Field in our area for kids with disabilities, he decided one should be built. Joseph set-out to make a difference and with the help of his parents, he formed the Miracle League of Central Mississippi. Joseph has been involved in planning, fundraising and social media for the Miracle League. He also volunteers as a “buddy” now that the field is complete. Joseph is currently attending the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA.
Tammy Voynik, Chairperson – Tammy is Vice President and General Counsel for Methodist Rehabilitation Center in Jackson, Mississippi, and has served in that role since 1999. Tammy earned her B.S. in Speech Communication from the University of Southern Mississippi and her J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 1995. She is actively involved with her children’s extracurricular activities and enjoys traveling with her family. Eddie Voynik, Secretary & Treasurer – A native of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Eddie has always been involved with helping others. Growing up, he was a member of the Boy Scouts and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Eddie attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he earned a B.S. in English. Eddie works in sales for a medical device company and has had an extensive career that also includes radio and firefighting. Eddie is a passionate fan of Major League Baseball and enjoys attending games across the nation with his family. In addition, he is a trivia expert on the TV show, “Seinfeld” and is a previous winner of the game show, “The Weakest Link.” Sean Wesley Ellis, Board Member – Wes is a shareholder with the law firm of Young, Wells, Williams, P.A. in Ridgeland, Mississippi and practices primarily in the areas of Telecommunications, Taxation, Business and Corporate Law, Finance, Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning. Wes obtained his B.S. and M.B.A. from the University of Southern Mississippi. He received his J.D. from the University of Mississippi Law Center and L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University. He is a member of the Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi Bar Associations. Wes is involved with other community and civic organizations in the Jackson Metro area.
